WFP Highlights Growing Syrian Crisis, Violence Displaces 280,000 in a Week!

A horrifying report from UN agency WFP has released which is shedding light on critical situation of Sudan. According to the report just in a week around 280,000 people have been displaced from Syria. This data reflects the seriousness of the humanitarian crisis in Syria. The escalation follows a surge in violence led by the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS).

Samer Abdel Jaber, from the World Food Programme (WFP) stated this alarming statistic on Friday in Geneva. He said that this number does not include people escaping into Syria from Lebanon, where recent clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces caused many to flee.

The World Food Programme has raised concerns about the growing crisis affecting communities in Syria. The agency said that aid is being provided, and safe routes are being set up. But there is a need to enhance the aids.

According to the news reports the UN estimated that 1.5 million people could be displaced. This is because of long going Syrian conflict.

International community should raise it’s voice and come forward to help Syria in critical time to save lives.
