Morocco Seeks Direct Flights with India to Boost Economic Ties

Morocco works to build direct flights between its country and India because it wants to grow their trading and tourist relationships. During an interview Mohamed Maliki the Moroccan ambassador to India mentioned that both countries work with their airlines to launch non-stop flights which will boost their strategic partnership.

The diplomatic effort arises from improved business and travel relations between Morocco and India. Morocco delivers phosphate-based fertilizer to India but Tata Advanced Systems’ wheeled armored platform factory in Morocco reflects the growing business ties between the nations.

Morocco has gained more visitors from India because it now offers travelers e-visa processing. Maliki claims Morocco succeeds in the Belt and Road Initiative yet insists India stands as his main priority trading partner.

By developing a direct flight connection both nations will improve their economic and cultural partnership opportunities for companies and visitors.
