The ambassador indicated a strong interest in importing products of Thessaly, in particular feta cheese, honey, spices, olive oil, and aromatic plants from Elassona and the Municipality of Almyros.

Strengthening Agri-Food Cooperation

Major emphasis of the cooperation will be placed on the agri-food sector. In the future, according to Kouretas, an upcoming business mission to Morocco will be organized to link Thessalian producers to key Moroccan players. The mission aims to facilitate direct trade, enhance economic ties, and promote globally the products of Thessaly.“This initiative is also an essential effort for the further internationalization of our localized producers, and for the improvement of the economic picture of Thessaly,” the regional authority concluded.
