Turkiye Agriculture Output Joins the World’s Top 7 at $74 Billion
Turkiye hit a landmark in agricultural production by achieving record productivity figures of $74 billion in 2024. This 7% increase from 2023’s figures of $68.9 billion, in the agriculture industry, was acknowledged by Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumaklı Minister Yumaklı stated to Platform X, “For the first time, our country flourished with a profit of over $70 billion. Now, we have joined the top seven agricultural producers in the world”.
Source data from the World Bank demonstrated Turkiye’s consistent progress. A graph shared by Minister Yumaklı demonstrated that Türkiye took one place up, vertically in the order of top agricultural producers, one from 2023 figures, and eleventh from 2002 figures, and their profits.
The largest three agricultural producers in output for 2024 will remain unchanged; China, followed by India, and, the USA respectively. Hitting top seven positions from an advisory perspective will remain reflecting the impact of the Turkiye agricultural industry and related support systems.
Minister Yumaklı also congratulated all farmers, producers, and industrialists involved in achieving this benchmark value.
