US Attacks Iran, Iran Responds with Missile Strikes against Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq: List of Targeted Countries

The US and Iran have engaged in their biggest exchange of strikes in more than a month as tensions between the two nations have risen once again.
Hormuz Crisis Escalates, US forces conducted missile strikes against Iranian military targets along Iran’s southern coastline, after which Iran hit back with missile and drone strikes against targets in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq’s Kurdistan province.
These latest attacks have come amid talks on the Strait of Hormuz breaking down and further escalation of tensions from both sides.
US President Donald Trump stated that the US will retaliate in an even greater manner in case Iran decides to attack again.
“If they do respond, they will be hit even harder,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
Where Was the Attack Carried Out by the US in Iran?
The recent attacks carried out by the US reportedly affected different areas in southern and southwestern Iran.
According to reports from the Iranian government, 18 people lost their lives in the attacks, with attacks being carried out in Kuhestak, Konarak, Bandar Abbas, Jask, Asaluyeh, and Qeshm Island.
Iran alleged that the US bombed a house where a wedding ceremony was taking place in Kuhestak, a city close to the Strait of Hormuz.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, called the attack “brutal,” in which four people were killed and over 68 others, including women and children, were injured.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society provided footage and photos showing damage to the building and treatment of the children in a hospital in Sirik, a neighboring area.
In southwest Khuzestan Province, Iranian state media also reported further missile attacks close to the cities of Ahvaz and Aghajari.
Seven people lost their lives in the attacks at three different places in the province, and another eight people got injured.
According to the US Central Command, the attacks were carried out on dozens of military targets along the south coast of Iran.
Iran Launches Missile Attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait
In retaliation, Iran carried out a joint attack involving missiles and drones on the United States’ military establishments throughout the Middle East.
According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, attacks were conducted on positions in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait and the Iraqi region of Erbil.
Iran stated that its attacks included Sheikh Isa Airbase in Bahrain and heavy ballistic missile strikes on Prince Hassan Airbase and a US Marine establishment in Jordan.
Iran also stated that it attacked positions associated with Ali Al Salem Airbase in Kuwait.
There were no reported casualties after Kuwait said that it managed to intercept drones and missiles launched by Iran.
Jordan stated that its air defense system intercepted 10 out of 13 Iranian ballistic missiles launched in Jordanian airspace. The three others are believed to have fallen into uninhabited areas without causing any harm.
The recent attacks point to the increased danger to countries that accommodate US military installations but want to stay away from the war.
Trump Says Iran “Can Be Totally Wiped Out” – Hormuz Crisis Escalates
The rhetoric of Trump has become ever more aggressive amid the ongoing military tensions with Tehran.
Apart from threatening Iran with more retaliation, Trump added that now the US had a better position due to its control over the Strait of Hormuz.
“I like our position now much better,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, saying that the US had almost full control over the strategically important strait.
Furthermore, he noted that the economy of Iran was “totally collapsing” and asked when the people of Iran would start rebelling against their government.
The Iranian leadership does not accept pressure from Washington.
Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, stated that Iran will react in case of the US return to the conditions of the June Memorandum of Understanding, which stopped military actions temporarily.
This agreement expired on August 17.
Why the Strait of Hormuz Is the Center of the Crisis
One of the focal points in the confrontation between the two countries is the Strait of Hormuz.
The waterway is blockaded by Iran, acting as one of the key energy corridors of the world.
The American side insists on removing the blockade unconditionally, while Iran calls for lifting the restrictions and military pressure applied to their seaports by the US.
Thus, a vicious circle of actions and counter-actions has been formed.
Washington applied military strikes and sanctions to exert more pressure on Tehran, while Iran, in return, used its missile and drone attacks, as well as the power it has over the Strait of Hormuz.
Just one week before the last incidents, the US had imposed sanctions on Iran.
