Adidas Says Sorry for Using Bella Hadid in Shoe Ad
Adidas, a company manufacturing sports clothes and shoes, has taken a model, Bella Hadid, to advertise a special shoe. Now Adidas apologised and pulled its ads, which were mainly designed for the 1972 Olympics in Munich.
What Israel Said:
Israel posted on social media that Bella Hadid had ill words about Jewish people before, and for the same reason, they did not want her to be in this advert.
What Adidas Did:
1. Adidas removed the ads which included Bella Hadid in them.
2. They apologized for offending people.
3. The company is revising the ad plan for this shoe.
This is Bella Hadid:
- Millennial model sensation.
- Her daddy is from Palestine.
- She loves to talk about how she’s helping her Palestinians.
The conflict between Israel and Palestine still rages on. That brings about a lot of people arguing, even famous people and big companies. Some people back Israel, whereas others back Palestine. That is what does not make it easy for a company like Adidas, which makes firms all happy.

People’s Reactions:
Some people are mad at Adidas for having used Bella Hadid in the ad, saying that it is not respectful to the memory of the Israeli athletes who died. Other people jumped to the defence of Bella Hadid, saying she had all the right to speak up on behalf of the Palestinians. Some of them said they would no longer purchase Adidas products because the company pulled down Bella’s ad.
Why This Matters:
The conflict between Israel and Palestine is not over yet. It engages a lot of people in arguments, even famous people and large companies. Some sides are on the part of Israel, and some are on the side of Palestine. That makes it hard for Adidas or any other company to satisfy everyone.
What Next:
Adidas is going to make new ads without Bella Hadid. People will continue discussing the topic on social media or news.
