Morocco's Sports Infrastructure Earns High Praise from CAF President

The President of CAF Patrice Motsepe shows enthusiasm for how Morocco builds top-level sports facilities. In a discussion after his Johannesburg meeting Motsepe praised Morocco’s development success under King Mohammed VI’s governance.

CAF appreciates Morocco’s top achievements in sports, and particularly in football, because they benefit the whole African continent.

The government and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation worked together to achieve their sporting success, according to Motsepe. His statement shows these efforts make Morocco stand out both within Africa and around the world.

During their U-17 Africa Cup of Nations tour, the CAF delegation experienced top-class sports facilities at every venue they visited in Morocco.

Morocco’s sporting calendar is packed with upcoming events:

  • The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (December 21, 2025 – January 18, 2026)
  • The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (July 5-26, 2025)
  • Co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal
