Arab Models and celebrities gather at an event in London
Arab models and celebrities gathered at London’s Connaught Hotel on Sunday to celebrate the recent fashion launches in the United Kingdom (UK) luxury e-tailer Matches.
Ikram Abdi, a famous Swedish Somali model, the famous Dutch Moroccan Egyptian model Imaan Hammer, a popular UK actress Elizabeth Hurley and Lady Amelia Spencer attended the event in London. The company launched their collections on the e-commerce platform.
The event also honoured some famous designers from the Arab world. The famous sisters from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Siham and Sarah Albinali – won the ready-to-wear award, Artsi Ifrach from Morocco won the evening wear award, Eilaf Osman from Sudan received the accessories (shoes and handbags) award, Fatma Mostafa from the Arab Republic of Egypt won the jewelry (fine and fashion jewelry) award, and Kazna Asker from Yemen won the Franca Sozzani debut talent award (Arab fashion design graduate). The guest country of the event was Turkey, and the award went to Burc Akyol for his talent.
Arab models have been in the limelight in recent days. Amira Al-Zuhari, a famous model from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, attended the Royal Ascot horse races in the UK this weekend. She shared her experience of the event on Instagram. The Saudi model shared a short video of King Charles III, the King of the United Kingdom, arriving at the races. Later on, she shared some pictures of her chic cream outfit.
Earlier, the famous Saudi model also attended the 76th Cannes Film Festival in France. She attended the opening ceremony of the 76th Festival de Cannes with the movie “Jeanne du Barry”, the first Saudi international red sea film co-production with France.
“Jeanne du Barry” was the opening title of the Cannes Film Festival. Saudi celebrities and Arab fashion designers stole the show on the opening day of the Cannes Film Festival.
