Egypt Welcomes Trump’s Stance Against Gaza Displacement
Egypt considers US President Donald Trump‘s opposition to moving Gaza residents as a helpful start to resolve its humanitarian problems. Trump explained during his meeting at the White House on Wednesday that Palestinians remain free to live in Gaza. He now rejects what he originally proposed including both US control of Gaza and forced permanent relocation of Palestinian residents.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry approved Trump’s perspective because it shows his awareness of how to reduce Gaza’s humanitarian problems and solve the Palestinian conflict fairly.
The militant group Hamas praised the new policy shift by asking President Trump to stay away from collaborations with the “far-right Zionist politicians.” The Hamas cross-border attack that started on October 7, 2023, has caused significant loss of Palestinian lives through continued Israeli military operations.
In line with Trump’s “Riviera in the Middle East” plan Arab nations selected Egypt’s $53 billion Gaza rebuilding method to stop Palestinians from leaving their home country.
