Egypt’s Economic Boost: Chinese Investment Surges to $8 Billion

Over $8 billion has been invested by some 2,800 Chinese companies in Egypt, as indicated by Hossam Heiba, GAFI’s CEO. The news was released during a meeting between Heiba and Wang Weizhong, Governor of Guangdong, where Chinese companies also participated.
Heiba pointed out that Egypt is prioritizing Chinese investments because they can improve the country’s technology and create employment. Work is in progress to approve a total Chinese textile city in Minya Governorate, as three Chinese companies have already obtained golden licenses to do business in Egypt.
