Is Iran Behind Operation Al-Aqsa, Hamas’ Strike On Israel?
Al-Aqsa Storm has turned the nightmare of collapse of Israel into a certainty, says General Mohammad Bagheri, the chief of joint staff of Iran’s armed forces. He believes the Hamas attack caught the Benjamin Netanyahu-led Israel government off guard.
Bagheri applauded Hamas’ operation, saying it took down the false redoubtable image and power of the occupying regime of Israel. He said the Palestinian resistance fighters brought to the fore brilliant scenes of the resistance and standing of a suffering and oppressed nation.
“A nation that, after several decades of imposed oppression, now with the support of the young motivated generation relying on Islam and under the shadow of trust in the divine promise, has achieved such a power that it has astonished the analysts and military strategists of the world.”
Muslim World Urged to Stand Up Against Israel
Iran has also called on the Muslim countries to help defend Palestine, the Palestinians and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said Hamas’ operation against Israel frightened and startled the world of oppression.
He urged the world to observe the truth and feel the accumulation of oppression and injustice against the Palestine people. “Undoubtedly, the Zionist regime and its supporters are responsible for endangering the security of the nations of the region, and must be held accountable. The Islamic Republic defends the legitimate defense of the Palestinian nation.”
Raisi believes the honor of the nations is not obtained in reconciliation with oppression, it is impossible to normalize the capability of the free nation of Palestine. The Iranian President called on the Muslim countries, the Islamic World to support Palestine honestly. “The Zionist enemy should also know that the equation has changed – warmongering is detrimental to the Zionists. The Palestine nation is the winner in this field.”
The assault on Israel comes after Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei warned Muslim countries against normalizing relations with Benjamin Netanyahu’s government. He described it like betting on a losing horse. The supreme leader said Israel will be eradicated by the hands of Palestinian people and resistance forces throughout the region.
Iran Not Involved in Israel Strike
With questions being raised about Iran’s involvement in the attack on Israel, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken brushed it off.
He said there’s no evidence, indicating or suggesting that Iran was directly involved in the attack, in planning it, or carrying it out. However, Blinken added that Hamas wouldn’t be Hamas without the support it has had over the years from Iran.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict acceleration comes amid Israel working towards normalization of ties with Saudi Arabia. The US has also been striving for normalized ties between the two countries.
