Kuwait Fire Safety Partnership: General Fire Force Teams Up with Protection Society

The fire safety activities in Kuwait got a great boost this week when senior officials of the General Fire Force and the Kuwait Society of Protection against Fire Hazards (KSPF) signed a deal and got down to the task of enhancing the fire safety activities in the country. Major General Talal Al-Roumi, Chief of General Fire Force of Kuwait, on Tuesday morning, received Retired Lieutenant General Yousef Al-Ansari, Honorary President of KSPF, in the headquarters of the Fire Service Directorate. This senior-level summit was aimed at raising their already existing cooperation agreement so as to be able to support fire safety in Kuwait.

The Kuwait fire safety collaboration discussions focused on the creation of transparency in fire protection and prevention priorities in the country. Both Major General Al-Roumi and Lieutenant General Al-Ansari stressed the need for a more effective executive mechanism that would enhance cooperation among their organizations.

The objective behind this Kuwait fire safety project is to establish better lines of communication and smoother procedures for safeguarding the citizens and residents against fire-related risks. The leaders knew that a consolidation of their skills and resources would help to raise the fire safety capacity of the nation to a higher level.

Community Fire Safety Awareness Takes Center Stage

One of the major concerns of the Kuwait fire safety meeting was to increase the community awareness campaigns. Both organizations had come to an agreement that it is very crucial to sensitize the population on the aspect of fire preventive measures, and according to the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), it is a vital collaboration between the two entities.

Yet, the Kuwait fire safety association will seek to inculcate a robust fire safety culture within the Kuwaitis and other non-Kuwaitis who are living within its borders. This communitarian methodology understands that group safety begins with resident knowledge and readiness to fire.

The KSPF board of directors Chairman was also accompanied by board members in the meeting, which is another indication of the Fire Force’s interest in establishing effective community partnerships. These Kuwait fire safety awareness campaigns will keep abreast with the current fire safety technology and prevention practices.
