Linda Sarsour uses corona’s cause to raise donations for terror-linked organization
Linda Sarsour is exploiting the coronavirus pandemic outbreak as an opportunity to raise money for the American Islamic Relief Organization, which holds ties with several international terrorist organizations. She launched a campaign to raise donations for an organization called Baitulmaal USA, to help them through “COVID-19 Emergency Fund and their support for the people of Gaza”
Women’s March leader has a history of pulling such stunts wherein she tries to raise funds and indirectly channel the amount towards organisations with terror ties. In 2017, Ms. Sarsour reappropriated funds raised for re pairing of Jewish synagogue, Tree of Life, in Pittsburg. For the cause, she managed to raised $160,000 but the synagogue received only $10,000. The story was raised by The Algemeiner, titled, “Colorado Jewish Cemetery Promised $100,000 by BDS Activist Linda Sarsour in March 2017 Says Money Still Hasn’t Arrived.”
Enraged Ms. Sarsour threatened the Algemeiner with a legal battle and later on issued a statement in her defence, which as produced by “Jennifer Goodland of Golden Hill Cemetery.” The only issue with Ms. Goodland’s statement was that she did not have any affiliation with Golden Hill Cemetery. So to date, that money remains a big question, which Ms. Sarsour prefers not to speak about.
Post the October 27, 2018 mass shooting at the same Jewish synagogue, about $240,000 was donated to the Islamic group Celebrate Mercy, which forwarded the amount to the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, a mosque with deep ties to Muslim Brotherhood-afilliated groups in the United States.
Celebrate Mercy’s director Tarek El-Messidi told The Forward, which is known for covering up Sarsour’s actions and propaganda activities, that the Islamic Center would give $155,000 to Tree of Life, with the remaining $83,634 to be directed towards “projects that help foster Muslim-Jewish collaboration, dialogue, and solidarity.”
In 2017, the Palestinian-American feminist raised donations for “Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund”. When asked about the details of the fund transfers, Sarsour tweeted a list of organizations which received the funding, including the Islamic Circle of North America.
It’s important to note that the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), is closely associated with the Muslim Brotherhood. Reports have revealed links between Hamas and ICNA as the officials from the former organisation have participated in earlier ICNA events. Steven Emerson, a journalist who extensively writes on terrorism, said, “The ICNA’s hatred of the Jews is so fierce that it taunted them with a repetition of what Hitler did to them.’ Emerson in his book book American Jihad mentioned, ‘The ICNA openly supports militant Islamic fundamentalist organizations, praises terror attacks, issues incendiary attacks on western values and policies, and supports the imposition of Sharia [Islamic law].’
According to a document — titled ‘An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America‘ — ICNA was formed as an extension of the Brotherhood, which was responsible for spreading the message among Muslims ‘that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.’”
