In a move that will transform Morocco’s tourism sector, the National Tourism Office (ONMT) has formed a partnership with Transavia to roll out 14 direct flight routes from France from winter 2025.

The strategic partnership between ONMT and the low-cost carrier subsidiary of Air France-KLM group will bring an increase of 30% on total seat capacity providing over 132 000 extra seats on flights between French cities and important Moroccan destinations.

Travelers from Rennes, Lille, Biarritz, Brest, Deauville, Montpellier, Toulouse, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nantes and Paris will have direct access to the popular tourist attractions of Morocco, including Agadir, Marrakech, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Dakhla, and Errachidia.

The expansion highlights include:

  1. There are two new non-stop connections to Dakhla from Marseille and Bordeaux.
  2. Bi-weekly flights from Paris to Ouarzazate.
  3. A new direct flight to Nantes – Essaouira detour.
  4. Other international flights for taking out Marrakech – to Berlin and Venice.

Transavia’s first overseas bases will be set up outside France, as Agadir becomes a seasonal centre while Marrakech’s current base will get two new planes.

This outreach positions Morocco as a preferred seat-kilometer capacity to Transavia and an alignment to the vision of ONMT for growing year-round tourism and regional linkages improvement in the country.
