There has been a boom of speculation on a potential Musk WWE buyout on the web due to new business connections and Elon Musk being high-profile with entertainment and combat sports. The hype started when Elon Musk platform X entered into a two-year content license agreement with WWE in February 2024 to stream WWE Speed, a wrestling series involving short episodes.
