The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) applauded the adoption of five significant resolutions by the UN General Assembly on Palestine and the Middle East, including one that demands that Israel stop all actions aimed at “altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.”

The Committee on the “Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, the Division of Palestinian Rights in the United Nations Secretariat,” the media programme on the Palestinian cause, and the fundamentals of a “peaceful solution” to the Palestinian cause were all addressed in resolutions adopted by the Assembly.

Additionally, a resolution was passed to recognise Nakba Day, which marks the expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in 1948 when Israel was founded.

During the discussion, the Permanent Observer for the State of Palestine stated that Israeli exceptionalism has only strengthened Israel’s baser inclinations, as noticed by the UN Assembly.

The document went on to say that “today the Assembly will acknowledge the historical injustice that befell the Palestinian people, passing a resolution that determines to commemorate the Nakba’s 75th anniversary in the Assembly Hall.”

According to state news agency SPA, the OIC appreciated the positions of the nations who helped sponsor and support these resolutions, reaffirming their adherence to international law and conformity with their historical positions based on the principles of truth, justice, and peace.
