The information office of the prime minister of Iraq stated in a statement that the call covered bilateral relations, forms of collaboration, and a variety of regional and global topics of mutual concern to the two nations.

In their discussion, Bin Salman and Al-Sudani stressed the continuation of bilateral cooperation in a number of fields, as well as in the economic and investment sectors, within the framework of the coordination council between the two countries, a council tasked with fostering cooperation and achieving the goals of the two nations, including stability and ongoing development.

Al-Sudani met with the Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid al-Qasabi and his delegation last week in Baghdad to talk about the expansion of partnerships with Saudi Arabia in a number of areas, particularly in the economic and investment sectors. They also discussed cooperation in the energy sector, coordinating efforts to deal with the effects of climate change, and preventing its effects on the region.
