Written and directed by Gareth Evans, this action-thriller focuses on a cop imprisoned in the criminal underworld after a botched drug transaction. In addition to Tom Hardy, notable actors such as Timothy Olyphant, Forest Whitaker, and Luis Guzman are featured in the cast.

5. Heart of Stone
It appears that Netflix is determined to cast Gal Gadot in every major action blockbuster they produce, and Heart of Stone will be her next major film at the streaming giant. 6. The Division
Audiences are more optimistic about the adaptation of video games following the recent release of the Sonic the Hedgehog films. The Division, based on the Tom Clancy game of the same name produced by Ubisoft, has been in development for quite some time. In addition to being set to feature with Jessica Chastain, Jake Gyllenhall is also a producer on the film.
Rawson Marshall Thurber, whose work ranged from comedy like We’re the Millers and Easy A to blockbuster action like Skyscraper and Netflix’s Red Notice, is directing the military action film. The Division is currently in pre-production and is expected to be released in 2023.
7. Players
Despite the abundance of subpar entries in the genre, most people enjoy a well-crafted romantic comedy despite their reluctance to admit it. Tom Ellis and Gina Rodriguez are featured in the leading roles of Netflix’s upcoming genre film Players.
It depicts the lives of a sports journalist who falls hopelessly in love with a woman he was only attempting to hook up with. Damon Wayans Jr., Liza Koshy, and Joel Courtney also make appearances in the film. Trish Sie, whose breakthrough came in 2017 with Pitch Perfect 3, will direct.
8. High in the Clouds
Each year, streaming services compete for the attention of consumers with new licensed adaptations of well-known stories. The forthcoming Timothy Reckart-directed animated film High in the Clouds is based on a novel of the same name by Paul McCartney. Reportedly, the renowned member of The Beatles will also compose original music for the film.
In High in the Clouds, a young squirrel named Wirral joins a group of rebels who are all animal-human hybrids.
9. Dept. H
Netflix’s continuous connection with Dark Horse Comics characters has served and will continue to serve as a foundation for many of their upcoming original series. Matt Kindt’s Department H is one of these examples, as the fantasy comic is currently being turned into a feature-length film. On a quest to discover why her scientist father was murdered, the protagonist investigates a research facility located at the ocean’s floor.
The film began filming early in late 2021, however the cast of this next Dark Horse Comics adaptation has not yet been revealed.
10. God Country
Sweet Tooth is one of the most popular programs on Netflix, and because of its popularity, creator Jim Mickle is adapting another comic book franchise, God Country.
God Country, created by Donny Cates, Jason Wordie, and Geoff Shaw, is about an elderly widower who discovers a magical sword that cures his dementia.
