In a recent clash in the West bank, a territory near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in the Levant region of Western Asia, a member of the Hamas movement was killed by Israeli soldiers.

Mohammad Roummaneh, a member of the Hamas militant group, was killed on Friday near Psagot, an Israeli settlement in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli troops fired a bullet at Mohammad Roummaneh. He died due to serious injuries caused by bullets. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that another Palestinian had also been injured. Hamas, which is headquartered in the nearby Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip, called Mohammad Roummaneh a “heroic martyr.”

The Israeli troops said that they fired a bullet at Mohammad Roummaneh because he tried to launch Molotov cocktails at a military post in Psagot.

What happened to 242 Palestinians?

Last Sunday, Israeli forces killed two Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Palestinian group Hamas called them “martyrs.” Recent months have seen a boost in violence in the West Bank. The Israeli troops also carried out a drone strike against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
