International Pressure Builds as IHRF Condemns Crackdown on Peaceful Protests in Pakistan
The International Human Rights Foundation has condemned harsh treatment of peaceful protesters in Pakistan. Many media reports are emerging of extrajudicial abductions, political persecution, and repression under the military-backed regime.
The IHRF calls for global action in response to the government’s authoritarian practices, which came into power following a disputed election. The foundation also supports the U.S. House Resolution 901. This resolution calls for an independent investigation into the election.
The IHRF has called for an end to the violence in Pakistan. This international agency also asked to release the former PM Imran Khan. They also insisted Pakistani government by saying that government must be held responsible for its actions and urge the protection of human rights for all citizens.
