Egypt Takes Stand Against Gaza Displacement, Proposes Comprehensive Reconstruction Plan

Egypt will create a full rebuilding plan that includes refusing to move Palestinian people out of Gaza. Egypt made this announcement to counter US President Donald Trump’s plan that would turn Gaza into a Middle Eastern vacation hotspot by forcing Palestinians to leave.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry wants to rebuild Gaza through their plan and keep Palestinians living in their land with their basic rights protected. The plan works towards achieving the two-state option that Egypt argues will make the region more secure. Other Arab states especially Jordan now back this position after their own leader King Abdullah II openly rejected Palestinian removal from his US visit.
The government of Egypt organizes an urgent Arab summit to take place on February 27 under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and King Abdullah II due to pressing circumstances. The UN reports show that 92 percent of Gaza buildings experienced destruction or damage in the active conflict when Egypt set up this important meeting. As Smith Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy, sees this project will require 10 to 15 years to finish. The gathering works to fix essential problems by respecting Palestinian rights to their ancestral land.
