Syria has embarked on a significant government-supported project to enhance tourism facilities in the country by prioritizing on low cost accommodation. Through the new Syria budget hotels upgrade programme, the Ministry of Tourism will upgrade one and two star hotels that accommodate the greatest number of local and regional travellers.
