AAPI Chief Unveils Algeria’s Sweeping ‘One-Stop’ Investment Window Reform Today

The Administrative reorganization is a transformative step taken by Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) today, to rapidly deploy foreign and domestic investments, the AAPI said. Algeria investment window reform, The long awaited AAPI one-stop investment window reform was officially launched by AAPI’s Director General, Omar Rekkache, bringing an era of bureaucratic fragmentation to an end.
In Thursday’s, October 15, 2026, speech to national media, Rekkache said the modernized system will completely transform the country’s investment scene. The new framework instantly unifies all relevant ministries and public bodies and all banking services at one decision making point.
Algeria’s regulatory environment has always been a multi-agency process that is challenging for foreign investors and domestic entrepreneurs. This new initiative is specifically aimed at breaking through those bottlenecks in the system.
Centralizing Power at the Guichet Unique
At the heart of this legislative shakeup is the agency’s dedicated guichet unique (one-stop shop) to help clear project approvals.
By bringing these separate public organizations together under a single roof, Rekkache said it ensures an unprecedented service continuity. The state has been physically and technologically consolidating these departments, thus bringing an end to the crippling bureaucratic delays in the implementation of large industrial and commercial projects.
Algeria’s Investment Promotion Agency is also working to increase investors’ access to state-owned economic land, crucially. API’s digitization of the land-granting process allows qualified project developers to acquire the best land for industrial and agricultural uses in a transparent, efficient manner.
Driving Algeria Economic Growth in 2027 – Algeria investment window reform
A very important macroeconomic measure is the swift process of regulatory consolidation which is a key measure to diversify state revenues.

This enormous movement requires a strong push by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s government to move away from the volatile oil and gas revenues to sustainable and private-sector-based industry.
In the end, Omar Rekkache is promoting this newfound powerhouse agency as the main driver of Algeria’s economic growth for the upcoming years until 2027. The state is sending a clear and bold message to the international markets, that Algeria is structurally ready, efficient and open for business.
