Air Quality in Tehran tainted for past 24 hours: IRNA Reports

Tehran Air Quality Control Company reported that the air quality in the capital city Tehran has been declining since the beginning of the year, and the air pollution index in this metropolis was 146 in the past 24 hours. The previous data underscores that the air has been observed healthy for 192 days and 115 days it remained in contaminated condition. Such an environment can cause high risks and it turns to be more vulnerable to the children, elderly people, and the individuals with the respiratory ailments. 

The authorities have taken initiatives to resolve the health problems that arise due to the air pollution and also reported a surge in hospital visits related to cardiac and respiratory trouble. So, the outdoor activities and frequent travel outside the house has been instructed to reduce to avoid more complications unless the official updates regarding the air quality.

Emissions from vehicles, industrial activities, and unfavorable meteorological situations are the major causes of these critical conditions. Tehran has been encountering this problem for the past few years and it is becoming one of the important threats and health concerns to both the city and the country.
