Bahrain Youth Chief Champions Green Future at HSE Summit

Bahrain’s Youth Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi urged global cooperation at the 9th Global HSE Conference & Exhibition to better involve youth in combating environmental problems. Attending the event in Bahrain, Minister Tawfiqi pointed out that including youth in creating solutions for environmental and digital changes is extremely important. She encouraged partnerships among countries and businesses to improve how they use youth potential.
The minister outlined how Bahrain had designed programs to help shape the next generation of leaders. Since its launch in 2018, the Bahrain Science Centre for SDGs has become a top educational spot supporting the environment and new clean energy ideas. It uses sustainable technology to motivate its students to practice good environmental care.
Youth City 2030 is the kingdom’s major initiative aimed at developing the youth population. In just six weeks, attendees receive intensive education on science, technology, media, creative arts and entrepreneurship. Participants are prepared for new career paths by learning items and are motivated to become involved citizens.
According to Minister Tawfiqi, these measures are included in Bahrain’s overall plan to help young people develop their ideas. She explained that they want to continue and build on these successful models by forming sustainable partnerships that support the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
