Italian journalist Cecilia Sala was in Iran for three weeks. She was detained in Iran but noe she has been released and is returning home. Her homecoming is attracting the eyes of analysts and political figures.
How did Cecilia Sala get stuck in Tehran? Reasons- Unknown!
Cecilia Sala is a 29-year-old reporter. She is working for Italian newspaper Il Foglio. She was arrested in Tehran on Dec. 19 after arriving on a journalist visa. Iran accused her of violating local laws. The reasons are still not cleared by the Iraian authorities.
Meloni thanks everyone after Italian journalist returns home:
After her detention diplomatic efforts were going on to secure her release. Now Premier Giorgia Meloni confirmed the news of return of Cecilia to home. Meloni thanked all the members and staffs who were involved in securing her return of Italian journalist.
Iranian mediahas also reported her release. But till now there is no official comment by the Iran.

The sudden arrest of journalist had raised tensions in the regions. Analysts were predicting that now Iran can use these arrest as an advantage to deal and secure the return of Mohammad Abedini.

Mohammad Abedini is an Iranian engineer arrested in Italy. He was arrested by Italy for providing drone technology that was used in attacks on a US military base in Jordan.
The diplomatic relation between U.S., Italy, and Iran is highlighting the tensions over prisoner exchanges. Though the return of Sara is a relief to her family.
