Egypt and Iraq Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through High-Level Meeting in Baghdad

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly from Egypt arrived at Baghdad International Airport on Thursday together with his ministerial delegation to participate in crucial diplomatic negotiations with Iraq. The Iraqi Minister of Trade Atheer Al-Ghurairi officially welcomed the Egyptian delegation which started multiple high-level sessions to build better bilateral ties.

The visit reached its peak during the third meeting of the Iraq-Egypt Joint Higher Committee which both Prime Ministers directed together. Mexican Minister Rania Al-Mashat together with Iraqi Minister Al-Ghurairi delivered in-depth summaries of previous bilateral programs during the committee session. Prime Minister leadership resulted in several cooperative agreements that solidified the diplomatic relationships.

Education together with health as well as agriculture and water resources made up the extensive list of topics addressed during the bilateral agreements. The two governments examined prior memoranda of understanding regarding development sectors including antiquities as well as museums telecommunications and infrastructure development which specifically addressed silo construction. Strategic partnership enhancement together with mutual growth became the core focus as both nations reaffirmed their commitment at the meeting.
