Egypt, Yemen Discuss Investment Opportunities in Petroleum and Mining

The petroleum and mining sectors of Egypt and Yemen have established a substantial economic bond that improves their prospects together. At the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2025) Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi met Yemen’s Minister of Oil and Minerals Saeed Suleiman Al-Shamasi to research important investment opportunities for both vital sectors.
They decided to create a joint working team which will focus on discovering major areas of partnership during their meeting. This project seeks to increase partnership and leverage the substantial resources which each nation possesses. Badawi declared that Egypt would extend its full assistance to Yemen for developing these sectors. The substantial experience gained by Egypt in oil exploration as well as oil refining and mining operations creates an opportunity to develop significant economic advantages between both nations.
Yemen through Al-Shamasi officially declared its desire to obtain professional knowledge from Egyptian firms operating in the oil sector. Yemen seeks to join mining partnerships and use its rich deposits supported by its ports on the Red Sea. Foreign investments combined with modern technological advancements will enter Yemen’s petroleum and mining sectors through this joint venture.
