The ILT20, a cricketing venture sponsored by DP World, has joined forces with the Kuwait Cricket Board to enhance cricket around the Gulf. As part of this agreement, ILT20 aims to support cricket development in Kuwait by organizing local fixtures, leveraging coaching support, and working to identify future talent.
This partnership is a marked milestone towards building a better working cricket ecosystem in Kuwait, and demonstrates our alignment of visions to provide more opportunities and grow cricket in non-traditional cricket markets in the region. This partnership also plays into ILT20’s goal of extending its reach beyond the UAE market. With all the underpinning grassroots development happening in the Emirates, our partnership with Kuwait cricket expands our footprint across the Gulf.
For Kuwait itself, it provides greater access to international support, stronger facilities, and more opportunities for local players to develop. Moreover, it allows Kuwait to organise high-level cricketing events that excite fans and inspire young people to take part in the game.
Creating pathways for our sport at both grassroots and semi-professional levels will undoubtedly help normalize the sport, build its popularity, and expand participants’ competitiveness in the country.
