IRAN denies Trump’s accusations and warns him about security threats

Iran will react harshly if the United States does anything to undermine Iran’s security, Iranian chief of staff Mohammad Baqeri said on Thursday.

“If the United States makes the slightest move against the security of our country, they will face the harshest reaction,” said Baqeri,

Over the past few days, US military activity in Iraq and the Gulf has increased, he said.

“On the psychological and media fronts, the Americans are also engaged in the massive dissemination of information indicating that they have plans against resistance groups in Iraq,” he said, adding that “we completely monitor “such activities.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Iran or its agents are planning a stealth attack “against American troops or property in Iraq.”

However, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Thursday rejected US claims, saying Iran has no plan of attack against US troops in Iraq.

Rejecting Trump’s claims, Zarif said it on Twitter : “Iran does not start wars, but teaches those who do it  against Iran. ” Making allusions to the  January incident when  an American air strike killed Qassem Soleimani, Iranian force commander Al-Quds, near Baghdad International Airport. The United States has argued that it plans to carry out attacks against Americans in Iraq.
