Israel Spy Agency Warns Iran May Expand Supply of Advanced Weapons to Russia

The Islamic Republic of Iran wants to expand its supply of advanced weapons to Russia, according to the head of Israel’s Mossad spy agency.
David Barnea, the current Director of Mossad, reportedly said that Iran has planned to “widen and broaden” its shipments of weapons to Russia to use in its war against Ukraine.
He attended a ceremony for the Jewish Hanukkah holiday. While talking about the Tehran-Moscow partnership, he said, “We warn against Iran’s future intentions. They are seeking to deepen and expand the supply of advanced weapons to Russia.” He also confirmed that Iran supplied drones to Russia. Barnea further said that Israeli intelligence showed the use of Iranian drones in the Ukraine war.
Barnea’s comments came after the United States expressed concern over a partnership between Tehran and Moscow. The United States also claimed that Iran supplied drones to Russia.

In October, Israeli President Isaac Herzog also said that Iran sent drones to Russia. Reportedly, Israeli intelligence shared that information with the United States.
Earlier this month, the US said that Iran sent helicopters and fighter jets as well as drones to Russia. The US said that the two countries further expanded their relationship.
Recently, the Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom, Ben Wallace, said that Russia planned to expand military links with Iran in return for drones to be used in the Ukraine war.
European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell also asked Iran to stop providing military support to Russia. Many international organisations also slammed Iran.
Britain’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office also confirmed that Iranian drones played an important role in destroying Ukrainian infrastructure.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry also warned other countries and said it would not “seek permission from anyone” to expand relations with Russia. Iran also said it sent drones to Russia before the Ukrainian war.
