More than 250 female graduates will recruit to Saudi Arabian Armed Forces
On Wednesday, 255 recruits received their diplomas from the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces’ Women’s Training Institute. The women received diplomas with specialisations in Hajj and Umrah security and diplomatic security.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, the interior minister, and Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Bassami, the director of public security, both supported the graduation ceremony.
Women can now enlist in the Saudi military starting in February 2022. In September of last year, the first female recruits graduated from the Armed Forces Women’s Cadre Training Centre, marking the beginning of women’s duty in front-line positions for the first time in the history of the kingdom.
