Morocco Announces Plans for Massive Logistics Zone
Western Atlantic Casablanca will cost Morocco 550 million dirhams ($55 million) and will be the largest logistics center in Morocco. Western Atlantic Casablanca is an indispensable part of Morocco’s World Cup co-hosting preparations alongside Spain and Portugal.
The large-scale 700,000 square meter facility has the potential to draw supplemental investments worth 1,700 million dirhams ($170 million). According to Hespress newspaper, the strategic location coupled with massive project dimensions provides a powerful economic stimulus which will entice companies to set up operations in this area.
Through this infrastructure development Morocco demonstrates its dedication to build superior logistics abilities while pursuing status as a key economic center for the region.
