Morocco Takes Center Stage at Paris International Agricultural Fair 2025
Emmanuel Macron and Aziz Akhannouch started the 61st International Agricultural Fair (SIA) event in Paris by making history on Saturday. This day marks the first time a non-French nation holds this prestigious position as guest of honor.
The ceremony began with both guests using scissors to start the fair which continues until March 2. Prime Minister Akhannouch represented Morocco at the event alongside his Agriculture Minister and the Moroccan Ambassador to Paris. After joining all participants in the ceremony Akhannouch permanently recorded Morocco’s success at the special event guestbook.
Morocco’s 476-square-meter pavilion showcases the nation’s agricultural innovation and diversity. The exhibition divides its display across several 9 buildings on 16 hectares to show the work of 1,000 exhibitors who present and care for 4,000 animals to visitors who reach 600,000 each edition. Morocco gets this award because they manage farming sustainably and will hold the International Agricultural Fair in Meknès with France invited as a special guest.
