Morocco’s Economy Set for Strong Recovery in 2025 with Multi-Sector Growth
The tough impacts of climate change in Morocco currently are seen in the year 2024; however, the rate of economic recovery is projected in 2025. As for The High Commission for Planning (HCP), the growth in the agricultural sector has been predicted as 4.1% in 2025 with a negative growth of 5% in 2024. Likewise, the fishing industry is expected to grow in the same ratio as 6,5% and moderate tempestuous weather yields optimum results in cereal production.
This segment still constitutes one of the largest value-added markets; automobile and aircraft manufacturing continues to present some of the highest values as well as increasing production rates. Thus, the transport equipment industries remain the most favorable, and they contributed 14.4% of the finalized production in 2024 and may contribute only 9.6% in 2025. The chemical industry also remains a good show especially by the increased specifications for the global phosphate-based fertilizers, especially in the India/Brazil market.
The construction industry is also expected to rise by 3.8% caused by lower costs of building materials and improvement in financing. Other sectors including the tourism and service sectors are also expected to continue their upward trend as one of the foreign currency earners to the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
