‘Mr. Rambo’ becomes the first Egyptian film trailer nominated for the Global Golden Trailer Awards

For the first time, an Egyptian film trailer has secured a nomination at the Golden Trailer Awards in the Best Foreign Teaser grouping, Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo, with Markous Eryan, getting nominated along with major titles such as Wicked and Deadpool.

This is not Eryan’s first award, having won the Best Trailer Award at the Global Entertainment Awards for the same film earlier.

Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo tells the story of Hassan, a man in his thirties, on a quest to save his dog and best friend Rambo. Unfortunately, Hassan becomes entangled in an incident he did not cause, finds himself being pursued by his neighbor along with other community people. While on the run protecting Rambo, he is confronted by painful memories from his past.

Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo is the first feature-length film directed by Khaled Mansour. Written by Mohamed El-Hosseiny, the film stars Essam Omar in his first movie role along with Rakin Saad, Sama Ibrahim, and Ahmed Bahaa, co-founder of Sharmoofers, who’s also acting for the first time.

This is an incredible victory in taking Egyptian cinema to an international level.
