The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement, today that it ‘followed with more astonishment the news published by the Ethiopian government’s Fana Broadcasting Agency on December 9, 2021, in which it accused Sudan of supporting the Tigray Liberation Front.’

She stressed that these allegations are absurd and contradictory to the truth. She stressed Sudan’s full commitment to the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and that what was reported by the Fana Agency was absolutely baseless.

The Sudanese statement also urged Ethiopia to ‘stop accusing Sudan of taking aggressive stances and practices that are not supported by facts and evidences .’

The Ethiopian agency had claimed that Sudan had sheltered and trained members of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front to confront the Ethiopian government forces, according to a Sudanese Foreign Ministry statement.
