Know about Turkey’s new AI-powered app, “Next Teknofest

Turkey arised a social media site called Next Teknofest Sosyal, created by young entrepreneurs from Teknofest, the largest aerospace and technology festival in the country.
After Selcuk Bayraktar, head of Turkish defense company Baykar, launched the app on Wednesday, it gained traction and became number one in Social Networking on the App Store.
Next Teknofest Sosyal is a microblog site similar to X, but better – it will be free, have no customized algorithm, and no tracking. This means no ads, no tracking, and therefore more privacy and transparency, no targeting. One of the best features is that it’s attached to T3 AI, a Turkish AI assistant in Turkish. Users can tag T3 AI in their posts for quick replies and to ask questions, or get suggestions in Turkish or other languages. It was developed through the T3 Foundation and Baykar. According to Anadolu Agency, the app has already outperformed global competitors such as Telegram, Facebook, and OmeTV in app downloads in the App Store. It clearly expresses a high degree of interest in locally made platforms that prioritize user control, data security, and a focus on innovating. While it may be too of a stretch to indicate that Next Teknofest Sosyal will act as a direct competitor to X, the speed of success for Next Teknofest Sosyal is illustrative of the rising digital ambitions of Turkiye.
