K-pop sensation BTS has once again etched its name in the annals of music history, firmly establishing its dominance on the world stage. The group reached the astonishing milestone of racking up more than 39 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the first ever group to achieve this feat on the popular music platform.

BTS have become the first band in Spotify’s history to reach 39 billion streams for all of their original tracks. This remarkable milestone not only confirms their pioneering status, but also makes them the first Asian band to achieve such a feat.

Just three months ago, BTS confirmed that they had surpassed 38 billion streams on Spotify. Their hits, including ‘Dynamite’ (1.85 billion streams), ‘My Universe’ (1.24 billion streams), ‘Butter’ (1.2 billion streams), ‘Boy with Luv’ (1.2 billion streams), and many others, contributed to this remarkable result.

This latest feat comes just a year after BTS reached 31.9 billion streams on Spotify on 3 March 2023, surpassing its own record in the process. Reports indicate that the number of streams has almost doubled since April 2021, when it stood at around 16.3 billion.

As BTS continue to redefine success as a K-pop group, their devoted fans, known as the ARMY, are brimming with joy and pride at the group’s steady rise on the global music scene.
