Palestine and Israel reach ceasefire

Palestinian groups and Israel agreed on a ceasefire on Monday evening with the mediation efforts of Egypt and the UN.
The ceasefire between the parties entered into force at midnight local time.
On Monday night, the Israeli Air Force launched a missile attack on the outskirts of Damascus, where the Palestinian military base is located and where, according missile weapons are being developed, which are then made in Gaza and used for armed sorties against Israel. Israeli aviation attacked dozens of Islamic Jihad-related targets in the Gaza Strip on Monday night in response to rocket attacks and an attempt to detonate a land mine on the border with the enclave on Sunday.
Last day, the exchange of blows resumed and continued until recently. As reported by the Israeli army press service, over the past day, radicals from Gaza launched more than 40 missiles in Israel, about half of them were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Monday that if the shelling from Gaza continues, the Jewish state is ready to launch a military operation there to restore calm.
Responsibility for the shelling was claimed by the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, Sarai Al-Quds (Jerusalem Companies), calling them a “military response” to the killings of three of his fighters in Khan Younis and Damascus.
