Egypt’s FM Represents President Sisi at the Africa Cooperation Forum

Egypt’s foreign minister Badr Abdelatty participated in the 3rd HLFSSTrC held in Sierra Leone from 7th to 9th May, 2025 and in his capacity as the representative of the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
While addressing a session that discussed Africa’s place in the governance structures of the world, Abdelatty credited the APRM for the essential role it plays in enhancing the standards of governance in Africa.
The analysed Source stated Africa’s potential calling on the wealth of people, natural resources and other economic capitals in Africa to play a critical role in the governance of the international regime.
According to Abdelatty, Africans must seek rightful place to be accorded a proper representation in all decision making bodies economically especially in times of escalating international rivalries and unprecedented circumstance of global crises.
He said the AU’s becoming a permanent member of the G20 as of 2023 is one of the most significant moments indicating Africa’s increased international significance. He also said Egypt stands fully supportive of the current presidency which is hosted by South Africa.
From Abdelatty’s perspective, leadership of the South Africa offers the much-needed voice of the developing countries in the G20 framework and bring the African agenda in the frame work.
