Highest daily COVID-19 cases in months for Saudi Arabia
Saudi arabia–Saudi Arabia announced 967 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the overall number of confirmed infections to 772,269, the highest daily number in months.
On February 19, 2022, the Ministry of Health recorded 997 instances. According to ministry records, Riyadh had the most instances on Monday, with 317, followed by Jeddah with 164, Dammam with 93, Makkah with 43, Madinah with 27, Taif and Dhahran with 26 each, and Abha with 24.
On Monday, 663 recoveries were recorded, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 755,619, with 102 serious instances. Saudi Arabia has given out over 69 million vaccination doses so far. In the last 24 hours, it has conducted over 34,000 new tests.
