Kuwait’s Media Achievements Honored with Awards at Arab Festival

Kuwait’s Ministry of Information has successfully returned from Tunisia after securing four prestigious awards at the 25 th Arab Radio and Television Festival. The festival took place from 11th-14 th June, with celebrations and events stretching over four days.

For Kuwait Television, the two major prizes consisted of “Kuwait Nights”, which won first place in the variety and artistic evenings category, and “Linguistic Arts”, which won first place in the cultural programs category, two second-place awards in TV Program Exchange and Comprehensive Program Exchange.

Under the theme of “A Space for Convergence and Creativity,” the festival attracted around 80 media institutions, who received discussions surrounding AI in the media, Arab drama and children’s productions, and of course the Palestinian cause, which was a central and spotlighted focus point in all discussions, including on the five panel discussions, exhibitions and symposiums held throughout the festival.

Notably, the opening ceremony lent itself to key Arab general dignitaries from the Carthage Archaeological Theatre. This year, the festival was chaired by the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Broadcasting and Television, opening the festival theme with wider global possibilities.

Kuwait’s achievements mark Kuwait both in the media and respective journey, and underline Kuwait’s influence in the Arab broadcasting area is growing, and a proud moment.
