Kuwait’s Nasser Al-Nasser Captures Gold at Kyokushin Championship

Kuwait is celebrating a great athletic achievement as karateka Nasser Al-Nasser wins a gold medal at the much-anticipated Dubai International Kyokushin Championship for juniors and youth. Nasser Al-Nasser represented the national Kyokushin Karate team of Kuwait, showcasing his immense talent, while preparing to conquer every opponent, despite coming up against strong international competition.
Ultimately, Al-Nasser had a short but impressive journey in order to win the gold medal. This included an entertaining semi final fight against a very strong opponent from Kazakhstan. In the grand final, with his teammates cheering him on, Al-Nasser fought and won against an opponent from Armenia.
Upon exiting the mat following his victorious outing, Al-Nasser declared in honour of the gulf state, that he was dedicating his gold medal to the political leadership of Kuwait, and to the whole Kuwaiti people. He felt it was a moment of national pride for the whole country. Nasser also thanked his coaching team. National coach and expert, Al-Shihan Abdullah Al-Mutawaq, as well as fitness coach Yousef Al-Baqsami, were duly mentioned by Al-Nasser and were included in his expression of gratitude. Al-Nasser thanked his coaches for their expertise and tactical and physical preparation in developing successful warm-up strategies, all of which contributed to the support he received in helping prepare him for his golden moment in Dubai.
