Is the Israel-Hamas conflict easing? There are no such signs as intense fighting continues across Gaza and southern Israel. Since October 7, 2023, the region has plunged into an unrelenting cycle of brutality.

The situation in Gaza has reached a breaking point. Hundreds of thousands of residents have been displaced. Numerous people lack access to food, electricity and medical care. Humanitarian agencies are concerned about a possible irreversible collapse.

It has been reported that more than 1,300 people have been killed attempting to reach GHF sites for aid. Many other people remain missing, leaving families in agony as they search for their loved ones amid the chaos.

Putin and Netanyahu hold another telephonic conversation

Reports suggest Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just had a phone call. This marks the second call in a handful of days, after the leaders discussed Syria and Iran just recently.

There are no further details on the call. It should also be taken into consideration that US House Speaker Mike Johnson is currently in the Middle East. He visited a settlement in the occupied West Bank on Monday as part of a private visit to Israel.

Johnson’s trip is not an official congressional delegation and is designated as a private tour. The need for a ceasefire in Gaza is getting more and more urgent. You can expect more updates on the situation soon.
