Uzbekistan’s Prez performs Umrah amid official trip to Saudi
Saudi arabia–Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, undertook the Umrah pilgrimage on Thursday, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Upon his arrival, the president was welcomed by a number of representatives from the Special Force for the Security of the Grand Mosque, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and other organizations.
The official press office of Mirziyoyev tweeted images from the president’s pilgrimage. The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed the Uzbek president as he arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday.
The two met and reviewed a variety of issues of mutual interest in addition to discussing bilateral ties and collaboration in numerous fields.
