Spain invited many important people to speak about the situation between Israel and Palestine and that of Mideast. The meeting was held in Madrid which is the capital city of Spain. Men and women from Arab countries, Turkey, and Europe arrived at this meeting. The main topic was something called a “two-state solution. ” This means having two separate countries: Living in harmony with each state – Israel and Palestine. They also discussed offering assistance to people in Gaza immediately. Gaza is one of the areas where Palestinians reside, and as you may know, it is facing a lot of problems at the moment.

Many important people came to the meeting:

  • In his office, the meeting was held between Pedro Sanchez, the prime minister of Spain, and Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
  • This is testified by some of the top-profile personalities including the foreign ministers of Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Norway, Turkey, and Egypt.
  • Even the head of the Arab League followed him to attend the meeting.
  • He also had another fellow there who was a Qatari.
  • Another was the official, who looked over the procedure of all the countries of the European Union’s relations with other countries.

This is what Spain’s Foreign Minister has to say

1. Spain is working with Qatar, Egypt, and the United States to help bring an end to the hostilities in the Gaza strip.

2. All the countries at the meeting observed that it is good to partition the Middle East into two separate nations, namely Israel and Palestine.

3. The group would like other countries of the world to affiliate with this plan.

4. They want the people who are incarcerated in Gaza which they call hostages to be set free.

5. They assumed that Gaza needed a lot of help in the instant and this could include food, and medicine among others, and it should be so easy to send this help.

Spain has done something important in May. It said that alongside Norway and Ireland, it recognizes Palestine as a state. This made Israel very upset, But as for me, I have not sinned against thee, and thou hast set thine heart upon me, and hast taken a hold upon me.
