Gaza Ceasefire Possible, Says US Secretary of State Blinken in Meeting with Turkey’s Fidan
On friday US Secretary of State Antony Blinken shared a hopeful news about Gaza. He indicated that there are “encouraging signs” of progress toward a ceasefire in Gaza.
During a visit to Ankara, U.S. State Secretary Blinken discussed about the situation Gaza with Foreign Minister of Turkey Hakan Fidan. During his talk he indicated that there is a possibility of achieving a ceasefire in the war-torn region soon.
“We’ve seen more encouraging signs over the past few weeks that a ceasefire could be possible,” Blinken stated after his meeting. He also called on Turkiye to use its influence to push Hamas toward agreeing to a deal that could end the conflict.
After the talks US Secretary of State Antony Blinken thanked Turkiye for its efforts. U.S. State Secratery also said that President Erdogan and Foreign Minister Fidan worked by joining hands with U.S. to end the war. They put efforts to make HAMAS agree on a conclusion to a ceasefire.
