Israel Lacks Strategy, Resistance Groups Pressure
Israel is facing mounting pressure from world countries as its war in Gaza has killed over 13,000 people, with France calling it de facto killing ladies and babies. Fingers are also being pointed at the United States for its relentless support for Israel’s genocidal campaign, targeting civilians.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on US President Joe Biden to stop the humanitarian catastrophe, the genocide against Palestine’s innocent people. “History will not absolve anyone of these crimes. In reality, this genocide is a war crime that warrants punishment.”
Abbas demanded the US president and other world leaders to take responsibility and stop the Israeli aggression on Palestinians given the latest bombardment on refugee camps, schools and hospitals, as well as displacement of millions of people and families in Gaza.
Palestinian Resistance Groups onto Israel
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s Foreign Minister, believes Palestinian groups are intelligently calibrating pressure on Israel. He told the Iranian parliament’s national security and foreign policy commission that Gaza-based resistance groups are intelligently mounting pressure on Israel and its supporters, and Tel Aviv lacks the strategy.
The Iranian diplomat highlighted that the US is the most important supporter and partner of Israel in the killing of Gazans, in Israel’s war rooms and international forums. Abdollahian said the continuation of the crimes of Israel in Gaza will lead to expansion of the scope of conflict. “While the resistance groups are cleverly mounting the pressure on Zionists and their supporters, there is a lot of unactivated capacity.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said people across the world also feel a sense of despair and inefficacy toward all international mechanisms of power. But he expressed confidence about the collective will and sacrifices of oppressed Palestinian children in contributing to the establishment of a just global order. “Undoubtedly, the spilled blood of the oppressed Palestinian children will pave the way for the manifestation of divine retribution and putting an end to the rule of tyrants of our time.”
Israel Out of Control in Gaza
Last week, EU chief Josep Borrell said Israel has been consumed by rage and is bombarding Gaza as revenge. He highlighted that one horror does not justify another. “I understand your rage but let me ask you not to be consumed by rage. Not from here is Gaza. One horror does not justify another.”
French President Emmanuel Macron called out Israel for too many civilian losses in Gaza. He reminded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of the absolute necessity to distinguish terrorists from the population and the importance of achieving an immediate humanitarian truce leading to a ceasefire.
