Israel Targets Gaza With Multiple Air Strikes Following Rocket Fire
Israel– Israel launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip on Saturday, following rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave targeting southern Israel. Israeli warplanes targeted sites in the centre of Gaza and Malaka. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli drones also targeted locations near Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun, destroying the nearby homes. Israeli aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes on four military sites for the Hamas group that rules Gaza.
The conflict is rising tension at the Gaza-Israel border. The Israeli military said they retaliated in response to the rocket attack by Palestine. The Israeli military said that Palestinians targeted the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon. Reportedly, a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip on Saturday morning. The Iron Dome missile-defence system intercepted the rocket, which activated warning sirens in the city.
